The Journal of Indian Society of Remote Sensing, JISRS, is a bimonthly publication, which is the only journal in India exclusively dealing with remote sensing technology and its applications. Only Sustaining members/ Annual Members and Patron Members are entitled to access all issues of JISRS.

Only members are entitled to receive the proceedings of ISRS National Symposium and past journal volumes on nominal pricing.

Members are eligible for subsidized registration fees for the annual conventions and national symposia that are regularly organized by the society since 1981, giving opportunities to the remote sensing community in the country to present research papers, discuss the methods and applications of remote sensing in development and management of natural resources.

The regional chapters organize scientific talks, outreach programmes and activities in addition to the headquarters for not only the members, but also including the family and students of the community.
